This was the most interesting alternative tour I ever did. To hear real first experience impressions while you are standing in front of the buildings and spots was like time travel. We loved it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour. I would highly recommend others interested in the 70s Punk Rock era etc. to go along to this. The tour guide was clear and explained things to us really well. We had fun even though at times it was raining. It was fascinating going into CRCBS which was fabulous. I only wish things didnt have to change so much and that the originality of many of the places we saw were kept as they were. Still thats life all over. The couple on the tour I met were lovely - from London just like us! I have kept in touch with them and the guy is in a Rock N Roll band and myself and my partner and friends have been invited to his forthcoming gigs here in London so that is another good factor from the tour. Thanks for having it and I have recommended it to friends who are visiting NY in the future. Long may it continue.

If you have any interest in pop culture, you should do this tour and if you have a special place in your heart for the likes of the Ramones, New York Dolls and the Velvet Underground you shouldn't miss it! The East Village is an area well worth having a look around, and guide was engaging, entertaining and informative. He loves this stuff too and that really came across. Take this tour - you'll enjoy it, I certainly did!
